Phuket is Thailand's largest island and is located on the tropical Andaman Coast. Although it receives almost 1 million visitors a year, the island still boasts some of the most idyllic sandy beaches and fantastic water sports. Enjoying a seafood barbeque on the beach is the perfect way to relax after a day in the sun, or for something a bit more lively, the Patong beach area offers a thriving night scene. Whatever your pleasure, Phuket has something for everyone. Explore the sights in and around towering skyscrapers, Chinese shophouses, brand new Mercedes, pushcart vendors and countless pagodas.
