Palladium Palace

Wenn man einigermaßen gut zu Fuß ist, kann man vom Palladium Palace über Santa Maria Maggiore (direkt nebenan) die Innenstadt gut zu Fuß erreichen. Eine gute Alternative bietet der ebenfalls sehr nahe (aber nicht zu hörende) Bahnhof. Termini ist in etwa 4 Minuten zu erreichen. Auf dem Weg nach Termini, auf der gleichen Straße wie das Hotel, ist ein Supermarkt, was einiges einfacher macht. Das einzig ärgerliche ist der Aufpreis den man jetzt pro Nacht und Person in Rom zahlen muss (seit Januar 2011). Das liegt allerdings nicht am netten Hotel, sondern an der Politik. Negativ, wenn man denn so will, ist das typisch italienische Süßfrühstück mit dem merkwürdigen Kaffeeersatz, der einem in fast allen nicht 5-Sterne Hotels in Italien angeboten wird. Personal war nett, Safe war vorhanden, Lage hat uns gefallen. Wenn man über Fiumincino fliegt, kann man ab da mit dem Zug nach Ternmini und dann laufen. Alles zusammen etwa ein Auwfand von 40 Minuten. Und deutlich günstiger als ein Taxi, selbst wenn man den Leonardo-Express nimmt (schneller vom Flughafen am Hbf., allerdings pro Fahrt und Person 14 Euro (Stand März 2011. 2010 waren es noch 11 Euro). Wer etwas sucht, wo er sauber und ruhig schlafen kann, um danach die Stadt zu erkunden ist hier richtig. Partymeile gibt es hier nicht, jedenfalls haben wir keine gesehen, wenn denn eine in der Nähe wäre.

close to the major station and attractions. It was sooo easy to find after a long train journey, it was only a 3 minute walk down the road. It was close to all other major attractions in Rome. It was clean and neat and had a good breakfast selection. it made the last few days of my trip comfortable and homely

Locatio & convenience. Staff were very friendly and willing to assist. Room was cosy. Building architecture was lovely. Close to central railway station and bus terminal. Lots of restaurants, cafes and shops close by.
