Teach English around the World
The first step towards teaching English overseas is to decide on a location:
Do you want to teach among the hustle and bustle of a city or in a relaxed little village?
Do you want work where you can save lots or just enough to enjoy life while you’re there?
Maybe you’d like the opportunity to earn great money teaching one-on-one during your free time?

These are all questions that you need to ask yourself… or us if you need some help. We can also help with questions about getting a working visa for your chosen country.

That’s all the big decisions made, now all you need to do is get some TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) training. We can provide you with TEFL qualifications ranging from a 20 hour practical course over one weekend, to a 140 hour course which includes a 120 hour online component that can be completed when and wherever you like.

This TEFL qualification is your ticket to finding a well-paid teaching job overseas – too easy!

Q) Do I need a degree to teach English overseas?
A) While having a degree allows you to get a working visa in more countries, there are many countries where a degree is not required.

Q) I don’t have any teaching experience, can I still teach English overseas?
A) Yes. While teaching experience can be beneficial in finding work, it’s certainly not essential. The most important attribute to any employer is that you’re keen and have a good understanding of the English language (non-native speakers will need to demonstrate this).

Q) What’s the difference between TEFL and TESOL?
A) There’s very little difference between the two. TEFL stands for Teaching English as a Foreign Language and TESOL for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. The important fact here is that employers overseas will happily accept either a TEFL or TESOL qualification.

Q) Will I need to speak the local language?
A) No. In fact many schools prefer that you know very little, if any at all! You will however get the chance to learn the local language while you’re there, and some schools even offer free tutoring.

Q) How long will the course take to finish?
A) The 20 hour practical course is completed over one weekend in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg or Pretoria, while the 120 hour online course usually takes 6-8 weeks. You have 90 days to complete it from the time you start the course.

Q) What countries can you help me find work with your free job placement service?
A) If you’re over 18, we can help you find work in Japan, China, South Korea, Ecuador*, Indonesia* and the Czech Republic* (* degree not required). If you’re interested in working in another country, call us to get advice on how to go about finding work.

Q) Are there any eligibility requirements for the TEFL courses?
A) Yes. You need to be a native or near native English speaker. If English is not your first language, call us or find your local branch for more information.
