Deposits are available on selected 3rd party touring suppliers, when booking more than 60 days prior to departure. Any tour available for FlexiTour requires a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit that is payable at time of booking. All deposits are per person, per tour. Deposit amounts can differ for each tour supplier and will be confirmed within the individual supplier terms and conditions at time of booking. Selected tour suppliers have a minimum spend required to be able to apply a deposit. Upon receipt of the deposit your tour space and the price will be confirmed.
Once the deposit is paid, any changes to your itinerary (e.g. dates, names, itineraries) will incur change fees or loss of deposit. The change fees are calculated based on the respective booking conditions. Changes to the tour booking will be subject to the price of the product(s) at the time of change but has no effect on the deposit already paid. The original price and availability cannot be guaranteed. Full payment is due latest 60 days prior to your scheduled departure date. Failure to make payment will result in your booking being cancelled and the deposit will remain non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a new booking. Re-booking will be subject to the price of the product(s) at the time of re-booking. The original price and availability cannot be guaranteed. Cancellation of the tour will result in loss of deposit, with the exception of G Adventures (Lifetime deposit) and Contiki (FlexDeposit).
Touring Specific Deposits:
Contiki - FlexDeposit starting from R1,000: Your deposit (excluding flights and any additional deposits) can be used as credit towards booking a new Contiki trip. The original deposit refers to tour deposit only and excludes any additional deposits such as Inca Trail, or flights. The amount allowed to be redeemed is equal to the original deposit amount paid. Only one deposit amount can be credited per trip, they cannot be combined, however multiple trips can be booked using multiple FlexDeposits. Valid on all Contiki trips 7 days or longer. Credit is valid until you turn 36 (subject to availability). The deposit can also be gifted to family or friends within 5 years of the original booking. FlexDeposit has no cash value and is non-refundable. FlexDeposit is not combinable with New Release Deals or Last Minute Deals (LMD) within 120 days of original travel date. FlexDeposit only applies to full priced deposits (not promotional low deposits). All other conditions not mentioned in this section continue to apply as described in the general T&Cs for FlexiTour.
G Adventures - Lifetime Deposit starting from R1,000: If the booking is cancelled and that cancellation is not a result of non-payment or any other breach of the agreed terms, the deposit amount is going to be held as a “Lifetime Deposit” with G Adventure, the following terms apply. Your deposit is protected for life and may be applied towards payment of a deposit on another G Adventures tour (of equal or greater value, but not to the same or similar dates of travel). Alternatively, you can gift it to someone else to use. The deposit has no cash value and only one Lifetime Deposit may be applied per person per product booked. All other conditions not mentioned in this section continue to apply as described in the general T&Cs for FlexiTour.
Busabout - Flex-Deposit: If you need to cancel for whatever reason, where written confirmation is received from you or your authorized Agent with minimum 60 days notice prior to your confirmed or nominated departure date (or prior to 6th March 2020 for Ultra Sail), your deposit value will remain secure with the Operator or your authorized agent (as originally booked) until you are ready to use it against another trip. Flex-deposits can only be credited to with a tour value greater than R2,000, and from trips with a tour value greater than R2,000. One deposit amount can be credited per trip. Deposits cannot be combined or applied to existing bookings. No refund of the deposit will be applicable. Where the new trip departure is within the 2020 operating season (including all scheduled departures until March 2021), this must be confirmed in writing to the Operator minimum 60 days prior to the new departure date. One date change per person per tour is permitted without incurring an administration fee from the Operator. Any additional date and / or tour changes will incur an administration fee of R400 per person per tour. For travel during the 2021 Operating season (including all scheduled departures until March 2022), the new departure date must be confirmed by 31st December 2020 and will be subject to the confirmed brochure prices and booking terms and conditions of the 2021 Operating season. Tour changes to one of higher value or seasonality will require the difference in price to be paid. It is your responsibility to notify the Operator in writing of your new nominated departure date. If the Operator has not received notification prior to the minimum notice period given the Operator will assume that you have cancelled your tour, you no longer wish to travel and your deposit will be forfeited. All changes are subject to availability. The 15% Adventure Planner network travel and accommodation deposits do not qualify for Flex-Deposit.
